Why I run games

Meeting new players and watching them discover a world for the first time is magic. Newcomers notice things veterans take for granted, and those fresh reactions make every session alive and unpredictable.

For years I didn't call myself an artist — but storytelling is an art. After thousands of hours running D&D and similar systems, I’ve built a toolkit of techniques that create memorable sessions and teach players how to tell better stories themselves.

I’ve made it to a few BOTC games, but more importantly have lost myself in conversations with Trent over many hours, from minutiae to major plot points and how to handle difficult situations in campaigns.

I don’t think one can adequately put into words the capacity of Trent as a GM, whilst many of us have resprted to learning through AI systems, Trent is genuinely a supercomputer of imagination far exceeding anything one might be able to create from assistance. His capacity to hold up so many plates at a time and blend storytelling with joy and rules based creation, is nothing short of a masterclass. If you’re considering hiring Trent as a GM, do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
